Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data ProMatchTips collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

The data controller for ProMatchTips is Grydeland Nettjenester, a sole proprietorship (enkeltpersonforetak) registered in Norway. For anything in this policy, contact support@promatchtips.com.

1. What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store the password itself).
• Billing data — if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment and we store only your Stripe customer and subscription references and your plan. Your card details never reach our servers.
• Preferences — your notification settings, such as whether you have opted in to results emails.
• Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and to keep the service running.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal data to anyone.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service: your account, your plan, and the content it unlocks.
• To process subscription payments and manage billing (via Stripe).
• To send transactional email — confirming your email address when you register, password resets, and notifications you control from your Account page: new-tip announcements (on by default) and, only if you opt in, results summaries. You can switch either off at any time on your Account page.
• To protect the service, for example rate-limiting repeated failed logins.

3. Legal bases

Under the GDPR we rely on: performance of a contract (running your account and subscription), consent (optional emails you opt in to), legitimate interests (keeping the service secure), and legal obligation (retaining payment records where required).

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the processors needed to run the service:

• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe's privacy policy).
• Our email delivery provider — to send the transactional emails described above.
• Our hosting provider — the infrastructure the service runs on, including its cookieless, aggregate traffic analytics (see Cookies below).

We may also disclose data where the law requires it. We do not otherwise share, rent or sell your data.

5. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete your account. Payment records are retained by Stripe (and in our billing history) for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are short-lived and rotate automatically.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
• Delete your account and data at any time from your Account page — or by emailing us.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent (for example, turning off summary emails) at any time.
• Receive a portable copy of the data you have given us.
• Complain to a data protection authority — ours is Norway's Datatilsynet, but you can also complain to the authority in your own country.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security (CSRF) token. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click — there is nothing to opt out of.

To understand overall site traffic we use cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics): page views are counted in aggregate without cookies, without storing anything on your device, and without tracking you across other sites.

8. Children

ProMatchTips is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 — see our 18+ policy. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or on the site.
